Mantis is a proven, web based Open-Source-System which has been designed in order to create and control defects. The easy usability was a key goal during its development.

The project team is very active and thus,  long term support and further developments look very promising.

Mantis is a pure defect management system and as such does not cover test management features. Therefore, Mantis should be used in combination with a TMS.

RapidRep integrates any supported test management system joined with Mantis. Test execution and test documentation are stored automatically within the TMS, while it possible to transfer information from the TMS automatically to Mantis. Custom fields of both, the TMS and of Mantis, can be used to implement individual and overlapping process requirements.
