According to Atalssian Pty Lt, JIRA is used by approx. 9.700 customers and is now also integrated into RapidRep Test Suite. JIRA covers typical features of a pure defect management features and offers some useful workflow features. Therefore JIRA is often used in combination with a test management system, which controls test cases and test execution.

The interaction between JIRA and any supported test management system is handled by RapidRep. Test execution is controlled by RapidRep and documented inside the TMS. Defects are created in JIRA, using the fields stored in the TMS. Custom fields, which can be created by JIRA, are supported and create a highly customizable setup of the test proecess.
