Mantis is a proven, webbases Open-Source-System which has been designed in order to create and control defects. The easy usability was a key goal during development. The project team is very active. Thus long term support and further developments look very promising.

Mantis is a pure defect management system and as such does not cover test management features. Therefore Mantis should be used in combination with a TMS.

RapidRep integrates any supported test management system together with Mantis as DMS. Test execution and test documentation are stored automatically within the TMS, while defects are managed by Mantis. Information stored in the TMS can be used when creating defects. Custom fields of both the TMS and of Mantis can be used to implement individual process requirements.
