Using RapidRep automatically means that all test-case results are completely traceable and stored in an revision-proof manner.

The data filled in Excel workbooks along with parameters and SQL statements which have been used to generate the content of the workbooks are filed within the RapidRep database (repository). The process is easy and does not depend on individual users.

Regardless of what is being tested, there are always components that are needed in the same or a similar way.

This includes Excel workbooks  that serve as templates for test-case reports. Customers may adapt our templates according to their needs.

The integrated macro language is not only easy to learn, but also very powerful. It is used to build SQL queries within a report definition. Additionally, macro collcections can be created to define recurring tasks.

Due to the seperation of test case design and test-case execution, using the RapidRep Designer and the RapidRep Test Runner, resources are applied considerably more efficent.

While the total business logic is stored in a report definition, maintained by relatively few people, users of the RapidRep Runner can – even offshore - execute test cases without being bothered by changes to data structures or business logic. The experiences of our customers, which have outsourced testing activities to India, have been consistently positive.

Thanks to the RapidRep Testing CLI, mass tests, which are typical for regression tests or regular quality assurance checks, can be completely automated.

The tasks are specified in a batch file and send to a local RapidRep instance or to a cloud for proccessing.

The batch files can be called by all common scheduling systems like UC4 or Tivoli.

RapidRep enables the testing of data stored in any common database system like Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server, Sybase, Informix etc.

Even data in text files, Excel Sheets, MS Access or XML files can be included during the testing.

Within a test case, any arbitrary amount of data sources can be connected. This possibility of linking allows, among others, do directly align the contents of an Oracle Table with the files of a DB2 View.

You can continue using your preferred test management software. Irrespective of whether you use HP Quality Center, IBM Clear Quest TestManager or a different system, RapidRep comes with a set of flexible interface definitions that ensure a seamless integration of RapidRep into the overall test process.

The communication with the test management system is completely transparent to the RapidRep users and avoids any additional effort. Next to status messages (like pass or fail) the self contained excel workbooks created by RapidRep are passed to the test management system as file attachments. This ensures that all data needed to analyze defects are available.
