The RapidRep Test Runner is a stand-alone application for executing test cases. It is installed at the working station of the tester.

The simple and intuitive interface allows the users to find their way quickly. Test cases can be selected and evaluated individually or in groups . Knowledge in SQL and the underlying test management system are not necessary.

In the RapidRep Runner reports are created that are based on report definitions that have been designed with the RapidRep Designer.

The workflow basically consists of three steps:

1. Assigning a test case to a report definition (one-time operation)
2. Parametrization of variables that have to bee changed according to the report definition ( e.g. key date)
3. Start of the test-case evaluation that triggers all commands of the underlying report definition.

If RapidRep is used in combination with an test management system, all test cases, which have been created e.g. in HP Quality Center of IBM Rational Quality Manager, can be organized and executed in an individually configurable view. All execution results, including the populated MS Excel workbook, are passed back to the external test management system.

This application is not optional. Many functions can be called via the RapidRep Testing CLI.
