In the RapidRep Runner Application users create Reports based on Reportdefinitions created with the RapidRep Designer.

The workflow consists in general in three steps:

1. Selection of a Reportdefinition, which has already been created with the RapidRep Designer
2. Assigning proper values to parameters, which have to be assigned according to the Reportdefinition (e.g. Date)
3. Execution of all instructions as defined in the underlying Reportdefinition

If RapidRep is used together with an external test management system then all test cases, which have been created e.g. in HP Quality Center of IBM ClearQuest Testmanager, can be organized and exectuted in a freely configurable view. All execution results including the populated MS Excel workbook are passed back to the external test management system.

This application is mandatory. Most functions are accessible without user interface by using the RapidRep Batch API.

The RapidRep Batch API is a standalone Java application within the RapidRep Test Suite.

This optional component doest not have a user interface. Instead commands are maintained in a simple batch file.
