The RapidRep Batch API therefore can be used by any job control system and can be used e.g. to perfrom regression testing over night.

The 3rd Party Test Connectors have the following tasks:

• Displaying test cases stored exteranlly in the RapidRep Runner
• Execution of test cases and analysis of test case results
• Providing the status of the test case executiong to the test management system; this includes the whole Excel workbook (test proof)
• Creation of defects in the external defect management system

The RapidRep Repository is the place within a relational database, where RapidRep stores the following objects

• all versions of Reportdefinitions
• Reports and their initialization parameters and calculation results (XML and Excel workbook)
• configuration and snapshots needed for regression testing

During startup all RapidRep applications have to connect with exactly one repository.

The RapidRep Admin application is a stand alone Java application used by one or several administrators.
