RapidRep comes into play wherever the object of investigation comes as structured data or results, e.g. database tables or special files (CSV, XLS, XML etc.).

Testing an Application or a System Upgrade

Data processing applications transform input data into results following specific rules. The accuracy of calculation results needs to be checked by comparing actual results with expected results (verification).

Testing Migration of Data

If applications are migrated to a different database (new release or new vendor) it must be ensured that the transformation is done without loss of data. Next to pure technical rules all logical business rules must be fulfilled.

Continuous Testing of Data Quality

If an application produces correct results mainly depends on the quality of input data. Data quality checks ensure that only allowed domain values are used and if these values are applied in a valid combination.
