By using SQL and a simple macro language blocks of data are extracted from various data sources (tables, files etc.) and optionally joined with each other. The result is then put into a definable range within an excel workbook serving as template.

The specification of data via SQL and the modelling within the excel workbook determine the logic of the test case evaluation.

The whole flexibility offered by Microsoft Excel remains intact. The layout of the excel workbook can be designed by the customer with absolutely no restrictions.

All details belonging to the test execution and its results are collected in the Excel workbook. Therefore business analyst and members of the department have all information in one place in order to check the correctness of the results and to analyze defects. The workbook may be passed on automatically to an optional test management system / defect management system.
