RapidRep can automate the execution and analysis of test cases that are entered into an external test management system.

RapidRep can be configured in a way that test cases are maintained by a test management system (TMS) while storing defects is handled by an autonomous defect management system (DMS).

Thus, it is possible to gather the test cases within the HP Quality Center, while defects are followed via Mantis Bug Tracker (DMS).

Another special feature is the in-house developed database, which can be used both as a TMS or as a DMS. In order to work properly, these databases have to fulfill specific properties, e.g. there has to be a dedicated table for test cases that can be identified with a unique key.

• Test cases can be treated as usual, using a tool of your choice. RapidRep is able to access these test cases without any additional effort.
• The users of RapidRep do not require any knowledge about the underlying TMS or DMS, whose application is left transparent to the user.Using an external TMS or DMS is optional. They are often used in extensive test projects.
